A fine 18th Century crested American coin silver spoon. By Thomas Shields. With a hawk or falcon bird of prey crest to the handle. Struck twice "T.S." for Thomas Shields of Philadelphia. Simply a great early American coin silver spoon! Date: Late 18th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. There is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. There is some wear to the slightly off-round tip of the bowl. Maker: Thomas Shields Marks: Struck twice "T.S." for Thomas Shields. Measurements: Length: ca. 6 5/8 in. Width: ca. 1 1/4 in. Height: ca. 1 in. Weight: ca. 35.7 g
