Large George III Robert Garrard I English Sterling Silver Crested Stuffing Spoon

About the Item

A rare, oversized antique English stuffing spoon. In sterling silver. By Robert Garrard I, London, 1814. With a rampart lion crest to the handle. There is a seam to the handle, which we assume is original as this very large spoon was likely smithed in 2 parts. Simply a great George III stuffing spoon! Date: Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some noticeable scratches (especially to the bowl of the spoon) and some edge wear. Otherwise, there are other fine & light surface scratches throughout and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Robert Garrard I Marks: Marked to the handle with English hallmarks for Robert Garrard I, Sterling, London, 1814. Measurements: Length: ca. 15 3/4 in. Width: ca. 3 in. Height: ca. 1 1/2 in.
