About the Item

In good condition, this is a lovely set of four serving. The gilt is a little worn in some places but this is commensurate with their age. They are beautifully decorated with a repoussé design. They have empty oval cartouches on the handles. The original velvet and satin-lined box says on the inside lid: By appointment to H.M. The Queen Silversmiths and Jewellers Asprey & Co Ltd, New Bond Street, London. Hallmarked: Made in 1842 in London. There are no maker’s marks. Additional Information: Total Silver Weight: 326.3g Size: 21.2cm long. The bowls are 8cm by 4.8cm. The handles are 2.4cm wide at the widest part. SMS7080
