LIFETIME SERVICE COMMITMENT This is a rare model by the legendary house of Gruen. We were Gruen agents in the 1940 in Los Angeles California and this was one of their exceptional examples but they only made a "few" pieces and this one is wonderful condition as well. The dial is original and even the crown is signed Gruen. You will enjoy wearing this unique piece and you can wear it for all types of occasions. And, it is the perfect unisex watch as well. The case is hand constructed in solid gold and it is hand engraved and the enamel inlay, or glass is fired in a furnace at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. This method of production is not longer done because of the complexity of production, and we have never seen this model before. We became Gruen agents in Los Angeles California in the early 1930's. Gruen was a great company to work with because they had large collection, great styling, they were innovative and offered great service to their customers. It is sad that they could not, like so many other American Watch Companies withstand the Swiss and Japanese marketing.
