This is the watch that made Franck Muller famous. This piece, likely done for the Russian market has a hand made case and a dial done in Sterling Silver with kiln fired enameled numbers. The movement was supplied to the casemakers in Russia by Longines.. However, many houses supplied watch movements for the enormous Russian market. The classic tonneau shaped watch was first presented by Cartier around 1910. He was inspired when he saw barrels on docks in Marceau France., hence the name tonneaus shaped. This is a large watch in excellent condition and it has just been serviced by our team. It is really distinctive.
