Suzhou landscape is the main theme of Gao Xiao Yun’s landscape paintings. Water, light and times create a diverse scenario of Suzhou riverside towns. Gao features these three elements that form poetic and harmonic rhythm in his landscape paintings. A combination of Chinese ink concept with oil painting techniques is what valued the most by international collectors.
Gao Xiao Yun was born in Shaan Xi province in 1977, China and graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of the China Academy of Fine Art. He has held solo exhibitions in Shanghai and Taipei. He has also participated in the development of the Shanghai Pudong Artist Village and Puxi Art District.

Mountain Path is a 2020 landscape work by Maki Kuchida. This is a much sought-after landscape work by Maki, demonstrating her delicate painting skills with so much details in one work - the nature environment, trees with various forms and shapes, flowers, the river and the colorful coyotes as if all inside a mirage of the mountain. The mountain path leads you into a stage where the sky and the earth merge into one universe, the realm of the soul.

Artist Biography
Tian Wei was born in 1973 in Beijing, China. He presently lives and works in Beijng. He is a contemporary ink artist engaged by China National Academy of Painting. Since 2018, Tian has been an visiting professor of the Comprehensive painting language of Central Academy of Fine Arts .
In recent years, Tian devoted himself to the study of meditation of Zen. By “emptying his mind” of all extraneous thoughts during the process of painting, Tian nds the ideal mental state and becomes liberated from reality. He works in water-based media, By permeating with layer of ink stains and lines over and over, tian has developed his unique distinctive visual language and style. His experimental and expressive Chinese ink characterized by symmetricity, simplicity that expresse the rythme of the Nature and wisdom of Buddhism.
