An affectionate greeting letter written with a rapid calligraphy written by the artist had just return to Italy with the first symptoms of an illness will lead to his death. The artist demands to his friend and Italian gallerist, Gaetano Chiurazzi (Naples,1899- Rome,1967), best-known as "Tanino", to lead him his oil on canval “Le Foglie”, exhibited at his popular gallery, “Le Vetrine di Chiurazzi”, in Via del Babbuino, Rome.
De Pisis is today best-known for his cityscapes, metaphysically-inspired maritime scenes, and still lifes, especially those depicting flowers. His work has a particularly airy quality, and is laden with a sort of pathetic pleasure. This letter demonstrates how de Pisis spent his life: between Rome, Paris and Venice, living a very extravagant lifestyle; he had a pet parrot named Coco, and in Venice he was one of a handful of residents at the time who used a gondola. He had two personal gondoliers on 24-hour duty, who wore black-and-gold livery.

Having attended the Rome Institute of Fine Arts, Sartorio presented a Symbolist work at the 1883 International Exposition of Rome. Gianna Manzini would write an article about one of the greatest film of all the times, that was about to be produced shortly!
Gianna Manzini (1896 – 1974)
The Italian writer, Gianna Manzini, is still today best-known for “Ritratto in piedi” that won the Campiello Prize in 1971. The 1940s and 1950s were a time of intense and personal literary activity and of investigation of international literature. Her works appeared in such periodicals as Campo di Marte, Letteratura, Oggi, La Fiera Letteraria, Milano-Sera, and Gazzetta del Popolo. Recognition for her writing grew with literary prizes awarded for Lettera all'editore (Premio Costume 1945), Valtzer del diavolo (Premio Soroptimist 1953), La Sparviera (Viareggio Prize 1956), Un'altra cosa (Premio Marzotto 1951), Allegro con disperazione (Premio Napoli 1968), and finally her last novel, Ritratto in piedi, was awarded the Premio Campiello in 1971.
War and Peace is a movie produced in 1956, based on the same-named epic historical drama by Toltsoy. Thomas Rowlandson (13 July 1757 – 21 April 1827), he was an English artist and caricaturist of the Georgian Era, noted for his political satire and social observation. A prolific artist and printmaker, Rowlandson produced both individual social and political satires, as well as large number of illustrations for novels, humorous books, and topographical works. Like other caricaturists of his age such as James Gillray, his caricatures are often robust or bawdy. Rowlandson also produced highly explicit erotica for a private clientele; this was never published publicly at the time and is now only found in a small number of collections. His caricatures included those of people in power such as the Duchess of Devonshire, William Pitt the Younger and Napoleon Bonaparte.
