The Ocean At Your Door

The whole world at your fingertips, the ocean at your door… This line has haunted me for more than a year. I borrowed it from "That Funny Feeling" from Bo Burnham's "Inside" when making this piece. There are many ways you could interpret it, but for me, it's about the enormity of the world's problems juxtaposed with the pocket-sized intimacy of how we consume unsettling information. Huge things can feel small and small things can feel huge — sometimes it’s impossible to tell which is which.
