tiny little steps i take to you/doesn't matter if i fall

‘tiny little steps I take to you/doesn’t matter if I fall’ is the second painting in a 4-part installment of paintings dedicated to the theme/prompt ‘give yourself over to devotion.’ I wanted to create a piece that conveys how precarious and delicate the journey toward admitting you care for someone can be. The title and concept were inspired by a line in a Szjerdene song called ‘Go’. Listening to the song on loop for several hours helped inform the composition, colour choices and overall energy of the piece. I wanted to create art that explores the notion of taking tentative steps toward the people we admire/desire/adore and reconciling with the probability of descending to places we aren’t yet ready to reach/experience. Always with Black, queer-trans figures at the center. This piece was made with a combination of images rendered via AI (Midjourney) and my favored Microsoft Paint 3D software.
