Who's asking?

If there were ever a question over my identity, it wouldn't be: “Who am I?” but instead — or better put — "Who’s asking?”

My name is Sophie, a Denver-born and Chicago-based artist. I tell visual stories by playing with lines and excessive layers in a style I call SuperStacked. Though I have a traditional background, I am currently working both in space and digitally. As a woman artist (and especially in this digital movement, amplified by NFTs), I feel frequently out of place — in the traditional art world, the woman is often the subject of art but rarely is seen as a credible and honest creator. I lean into the juxtaposition of my role often in my work, playing with the idea that womanhood is ""supposed"" to be lovely, tender, and one-dimensional, but is — in reality — deeply complex, abstract, and often emotionally overwhelming. Most notably, I've collaborated with brands For Love and Lemons, The Hundreds' NFT project (Adam Bomb Squad), and have been featured in Forbes, Vogue Business, and HYPEBEAST.
