The decoration of a Florida resort home designed by the architect John Milner, modeled on a 19th century Barbados plantation house with colonial style architecture and grand spaces for entertaining. Unexpected contemporary elements such as asymmetrical wallpaper, as well as brightly colored fabrics and an eclectic mix of vintage and fine antique furniture give the public rooms such as the double-height living room a vibrant quality, while Anglo-Caribbean furnishings and soft green tones give family spaces an airy tropical feeling.
