London Terrace Pied-a-Terre

Apartment by Harry Heissmann Inc. in New York, NY

Let's not underestimate how fun a small apartment can be. The pied-a-terre became certainly relevant and very much of the time, when many moved out of town in search of gardens and space during the pandemic. London Terrace is smack center of the New York City Chelsea 'gallery district' and close to almost anything the town has to offer. The apartment was small, a classic studio with a sleeping nook and was meant to be bright and fun. The sleeping nook was papered in metallic ground Clarence House 'Tibet' paper with an almost matching fabric used as curtains and repeating on the Roman shades. We liked that the scale was slightly different and the ground color was, too... Seating is on a 'grassy island' carpet and facing a TV, dining and home office at a burl wood desk by the window, captains chairs with fluffy pillows and a 1970's Mexican paper mache parrot screeching form his perch....
