I was hired by the owners of this condo when the wife walked through a Showhouse I had done in 2014. She demanded to know who designed the space and hired me then and there to work with her. How’s that for decision making! Fast forward two years and I am now in the process of working with the couple on their Florida home as well as two of their adult children’s homes- one a modern high-rise condo and one a contemporary home in London, England.

We, of course, had some challenges as we started on the project. The owners were downsizing from an enormous home and they wanted to incorporate some of their favorite furnishings in the new space. We were able to mix existing furnishings with new pieces and blend complimentary styles to create interesting spaces. Tabletop accessories and books showcase their various travels and lifestyle, making the space personal to them. Some of the furnishings were more traditional and yet the owners wanted to add some edge to the design. The mirrored top of the coffee table mimics the floor to ceiling mirrors that flank the fireplace and allow for more reflection of natural light. The addition of some more contemporary artwork like the custom piece over the fireplace commissioned by Nashville artist Ed Nash, sculptures and some incredible fabrics and pops of color bring the townhome to life.
