About the Item

18th Century Portuguese “Sequillé” Pendant-Brooch in Gold and Diamonds Originally conceived as a pendant and subsequently adapted as a brooch. Executed in gold with pierced and finely chiselled workmanship, set with 23 diamonds. The design features abundant floral ornamentation, scrolling elements, and suspended pear-shaped pendants. Displays signs of wear, with some losses and evidence of restoration. Portugal, 18th century. Unmarked, in compliance with Decree-Law No. 120/2017 of 15 September – Article 2, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph (c).
