About the Item
“When beauty and art heal us”
Several recent observations in neuroimaging have proven the effects of contemplation which, by stimulating certain brain regions, activate the reward system associated with pleasure.
Beauty is essential to human beings because it makes us feel good.
Art, in its way, “caresses” and “sculpts” our brain.
When we contemplate an art piece we really enjoy and appreciate, the brain will begin to secrete several hormones, including these 4 main ones:
- Dopamine (immediate pleasure hormone)
- Oxytocin (the molecule of attachment and love)
- Endorphin ( pain reliever hormone)
- Serotonin (happiness hormone)
My artwork called "D.O.S.E" aims to remind us of the importance of art and the importance of images that can do us good and even heal us. My artistic practice is built around this idea based on a healing process as well as on a good being that art gives us.
This artwork is done with watercolor and acrylic paints on a professional heavy weight paper.
The painting is sold unframed. I kindly advise you to frame the piece with glass to protect and preserve it from fading.
The choice to sell my art unframed is to give my customer an opportunity to pick a frame to his/her taste, space and interior.
The photos of the artwork framed in the interior are for your inspiration.
This is a unique, one of a kind original acrylic painting. It is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting will be carefully packed in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap and sent out to you as soon as possible.
Please understand colors may vary slightly between the actual painting and the image on your screen due to my digital camera's results and your monitor.

Natalya is a contemporary artist from Lyon, France. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes and low mountains. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis when she was struggling with radical life changes. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. Several years ago painting became more than a hobby. It became a way of expressing her emotions and visions, a successive reaction to events of either personal or general concern. Her artist statement: “ I paint as it’s a necessity for my soul to express itself. Being creative for me is overcoming the restrictions. My art is a piece of my soul. I hope my art inspires reflection, provides a release and forms connection at other people’s souls”. She has developed her own vision of art through practicing a lot. She makes use of varying degrees of figuration, abstraction and impressionism by adding a contemporary twist. Abstract art for her is an interesting challenge for understanding inner feelings, a self-expression based on an intuitive approach. In figurative art her main subject remains women. Her artworks representing women contain the raw emotions of women. She also communicates the importance and the power of strong female relationships: “Women are enriched when they bond with each other”. She works in series: among them are "Heart-mind connection" of abstract artworks, "Women", "Bond", "Florals", "Springtime"... She uses various mediums ( acrylic, oil, watercolor, oil pastels) to create her unique artworks either on canvas or on paper. But she mainly uses acrylic as she works very quickly and expressively by finishing her artwork in one sitting. If Natalya had to pick one quote about her art, she would say : " Art is the reflection of the soul". Natalya goes with her gut and intuition to choose the colors, the lines, the shapes and the texture. She hopes her artworks will give a home a unique personality by filling it with life and color. Her sources of inspirations are Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, George-Daniel de Monfreid, Paul Gauguin. She also admires the artworks of Joan Mitchell and Banksy.

Marilina Marchica's research delves into the relationship between Man and Nature and the emotional implications of the relationship between human and dwelling. In this research, the landscape is the protagonist. People today rule over 75% of the land not covered by ice, which has led to modifying and shaping places, ignoring the life-giving forces of nature. The attempts of modern people...
