About the Item
Pop Art. Cool commentary on our culture. Vibrant. Conceptual.
About the Artist:
Blurring the line between mass consumerism and fine art, New York City based artist Jojo Anavim has established his body of work stemming from a background in graphic design and brand development. Previously a creative consultant for brands such as W Hotels, and Universal Music Group, Anavim crossed over full-time to fine art in 2013. His work continually employs bold color palettes, acrylic paint, oil stick, collage scraps, found items and advertisements Anavim has been collecting since his childhood. He is known for elevating the mundane by transforming everyday items into objects of transcendence. The paintings oscillate freely between playful and subversive. Triggered by his fascination with a child-like consciousness, Anavim challenges the viewer to not only see something beautiful but feel something as well.
As a child Anavim enrolled in art classes taught by Disney animator Al Baruch, creator of the legendary characters Captain Hook and Mighty Mouse. Anavim credits Baruch with instilling a creative confidence that led him to embrace art as more than a hobby early in his life. Much of Anavim's work depict the nostalgia of the brands and packaging he was surrounded by during this time, down to the LifeSavers his grandmother would always carry in her purse. Anavim’s artworks are part of permanent collections in museums and hotels around the globe, including Dream's Downtown and Midtown Hotel, New York, NY; Coca-Cola Archives Museum, Atlanta, GA; New York Yankees City Seats Collection, New York, NY; and Surf Lodge Hotel, Montauk, NY. Anavim is also recognized for his commissions for NBA players, business moguls and top-charting musicians including Amar’e Stoudemire, Seth McFarlane, Selena Gomez, Sheldon Adelson, Paris Hilton and Daymond John.
Anavim's work has been covered by global media publications including The New York Times, American Art Collector, Business Insider and Forbes - all highlighting the success of his career.

Truth & Beauty - SOLD - Commission an option
By Greg Miller
Located in New York, NY
Pepsi Cola Cap Homage with female theme.
About the Artist:
Drawing from the diverse cultural and geographic makeup of his Californian roots, Greg Miller explores his relationship with the space he inhabits to communicate a particular urban experience. Working with both paint and collage, he constructs and deconstructs exploring the contradiction, ambiguity, and truth between urban streetscape and history.
Miller’s art is clever and cool. His abstracted backgrounds of drips, patterns, and phrases and the peeling back of layers provide a study in the impermanence of the things that surround us. His large-scale paintings and installations aim to make the most fleeting parts of American culture tangible. They grab us nostalgically, rousing us to enjoy the momentary beauty found in the impermanent parts of our lives. There is a fragile heroicness conveyed within the temporary nature of it all, especially within his construction of paper, wood, and natural materials, that gives Miller’s work liveliness and depth.
Greg Miller’s work is featured in numerous museum and private collections that have traveled internationally including those organized by the Charles Saatchi Collection and the Frederick R. Weisman...
