About the Item

(L.A.S.d.s.) Autograph Letter Signed by Alberto Magnelli to the Countess Anna Letitia Pecci-Blunt. Dated: February 5th 1934. In 16°. In Italian. One page only front, including a envelope. The Italian artist, Alberto Magnelli, wrote a letter to the Countess: he and the French artist Marcoussis hoped to see her again in Paris, without hiding their respect and affection. In the same year of this letter, 1934, Magnelli, impressed by the vision of the marble blocks in the carrara quarry, realized his cycle called "Stones", he exhibit at the Pierre Gallery in Paris. Alberto Magnelli (1888-1971) is a famous Italian artist; he can be considered as a precursor of Abstract movement in Europe. He started with futurists but since 1915 starts to create abstract compositions. He elaborated a personal vision of painting, creating a current that he has defined as "Imaginary Realism".

Ancient Document of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany Leopold II, Italy
Located in Prato, Tuscany
We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. The ancient, original document of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany was framed, in recent times, by a skilled Florentine master craftsman who used a frame in precious wood and painted gold. The "Notification" was a public notice issued by the authority to bring to the attention of the population or of the institutions or persons concerned a legislative situation, an administrative act, or a declaration of intent by the authority itself. For this reason, more professionalism, experience, and technical preparation were required for all operators who had to contribute to this change. In the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the Grand Duke Leopold II...
