A.L.S.. Around 1938..One page, three-sided.
This pair of letters highlights the great success of the fist solo exhibition of Corrado Cagli at the new la Cometa Gallery in New York. Enrico Paulucci was invitated to partecipate and to organize his exhibition at the branch of la Cometa Gallery by Libero de Libero, in charge of the Direction on behalf of Countess Pecci-Blunt.
The Background:
These are the year of the turinese period, in which Enrico Paulucci together with Felice Casorati founded the Casorati-Paulucci studio, where he organized many avant-garde exhibitions, including the first Italian art exhibition by the Milanese Milione group.
Libero de Libero (Fondi, 1903 - Rome, 1981)
The Italian poet, art critic and storyteller moved to Rome in 1927 and came into contact with the artistic and literary fervor of those years. The following year, with Luigi Diemoz he founded the literary magazine Interplanetario, which had Corrado Alvaro, Massimo Bontempelli and Alberto Moravia among its collaborators. In those same years (from 1928 to 1934) the group of painters of the Roman School was formed in the studio of Mario Mafai. De Libero followed these artists assiduously and commented on their works with the first essays on Mafai and Scipione. He often edited the catalogs of the La Cometa Gallery, founded with the Countess Pecci-Blunt from 1935 to 1938.

Enrico Paulucci, a distinguished contemporary artist, is celebrated for his unique fusion of traditional techniques with innovative concepts. With a masterful exploration of color, form, and emotion, Paulucci's artworks resonate with a profound depth. Influenced by luminaries like Henri Matisse, he adeptly employs vibrant flat-tinted colors reminiscent of the Fauvist movement, infusing his pieces with dynamic energy. Paulucci's fascination with painting windows, a thematic homage to Matisse's "Open Window, Collioure," adds layers of symbolism to his work. Through this lens, he skillfully captures the interplay of light and space, inviting viewers into his vibrant worlds. His captivating compositions often evoke emotions while retaining technical excellence, making them a valuable addition to diverse art collections. With a distinct voice echoing the legacy of Fauvism, Enrico Paulucci continues to create thought-provoking narratives that bridge tradition and innovation, enriching the contemporary art landscape.
