About the Item
"Waterfall with Spray," 12 x 12 x 3/4 Inches, is a beautiful small painting of Niagara Falls, part of a larger series of 12 x 12 inch waterfall paintings as seen from various vantage points. MacNeille has an amazing ability to paint water and mist and the effects light has upon them. It is part of a series of 7 highly related works which are sold individually but which also lend themselves to wonderful groupings.
This painting is unframed and painting is unnecessary as the sides are painted gray.
There are also 3 large very related canvases of "Niagara" measuring 48 x 48 inches each, which are sold individually, as a diptych, or as a triptych.
MacNeille is an exquisite painter of landscapes in general as well whose subjects extend far beyond Niagara Falls to encompass beach and marsh scenes of extraordinary quality, very realistic, mostly in her native Massachusetts.
