Alison Johnson resides in Warwickshire and operates from her studio based at Fargo, Coventry. Her work is motivated by the aspiration to convey the atmosphere and emotion of a place. Through art, she articulates feelings that are often ineffable through words. Her enduring interest in nature and non-materialistic beauty has been a constant source of passion since childhood, encompassing relationships between people, life's struggles, and the ever-changing yet constant landscape. Drawing from her prior career in nursing, Alison endeavors to amalgamate these emotions. Having exhibited across the UK, including Brighton, London, Chester, Wales, Yorkshire, and various galleries in the Midlands, her work has also reached an international scale, hanging in Italy, America, France, and the Middle East. Alison has undertaken various commissions, serving clients such as the Prince of Saudi Arabia and The Waldorf Hotel London. Her inspiration stems from travel, the experience of wild and raw coastlines, to desolate and smoldering moors. Music and emotion are also translated through her visionary artistic approach.
