Bold and expressive 1974 oil on canvas/mixed media composition that screams "REVOLUTION" across its energetic surface, that is crowded with a myriad of colorful images including Native American figures, planets, a mother and child, bull with horns and cubist face, just to name a few. Created in mixed media by San Francisco artist Allie William "Bill" Skelton (American, 1942-1986), with beads, glitter, collage-style cutouts, and feathers in addition to oil paint on canvas. It is signed and dated "Allie Bill Skelton '74" in the lower right corner. Unframed.
Allie William “Bill” Skelton was a painter and sculptor active in San Francisco who was involved in the gay art scene of the 1960s and 1970s.
