About the Item
This piece is first painted on a transparent sheet with water-based oil. Some of the paint is then removed with a wooden tool in order to create texture. The painting is then printed on cotton paper - 280 gms This process is called etching. I was first inspired by Paul Klee series of Angels. The contour around the portrait are painted with Acrylic. The inspiration comes from a project called 'Ettertid', which means 'afterwards' in Norwegian. The project express the idea of retrospection, looking back and appreciating the slowness of this printing technique.
