About the Item
Bruna Gasparini was an outstanding self-taught painter. He moved to Venice in 1937, where he cultivated his passion for painting, actively inserting himself into the cultural fabric of the city. His artistic journey is characterized by an investigation of the themes of space, light, sign and color. In fact, his works show a clear affinity with the "Spatialism" movement.
The painting in question is an abstract work that stands out for its chromatic delicacy and spatial depth. Cool colors predominate, mainly its blue tones. Gasparini has created a textural work where color is applied in layers, with denser areas and others more transparent, almost glazing.
It is an oil on canvas measuring 45x55 cm and has on the back the inscription-"Untitled" oil on canvas, Venice 1933, the signature and reference of the exhibition at the Cavallino Gallery in 1993.
The state of preservation is excellent.
