Charles Lutz
Charles Lutz received his BFA in painting and art history from Pratt Institute and studied human dissection and anatomy at Columbia University, New York. Lutz's work deals with perceptions and value structures, specifically the idea of the transference of values.
Lutz's 2007 “Warhol Denied” series received international attention calling into question the importance of originality in a work of art. The valuation process (authentication or denial) of the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board was used by the artist to create value by submitting recreations of Andy Warhol works for judgment, with the full intention for the works to be formally marked "DENIED" of their authenticity. The final product of this conceptual project being "Officially DENIED" "Warhol" paintings authored by Lutz.
Later in 2013, Lutz went on to do one of his largest public installations to date. At the 100th anniversary of Marcel Duchamp's groundbreaking and controversial Armory Show, Lutz was asked by the curator of Armory Focus: USA and former director of the Andy Warhol Museum, Eric Shiner, to create a site-specific installation representing the United States. The installation "Babel" (based on Pieter Bruegel's famous painting) consisted of 1,500 cardboard replicas of Warhol's Brillo Box (Stockholm Type) stacked 20 feet tall. All 1,500 boxes were then given to the public freely, debasing the Brillo Box as an art commodity by removing its value, in addition to debasing its willing consumers.

- "abstract NINETEEN", Multicolor Blue Green Pink Red Painting by Aaron A. YoungLocated in Brooklyn, NYabstract NINETEEN Acrylic and collage on canvas 2018 36x48 Abstract NINETEEN NINETEEN is one of the largest paintings of this ever growing body of work by Aaron A. Young. Referencing the work of Sam Francis, Frankenthaller and deKooning, the abstract color fields and interrupted lines are meant to draw the viewer into the piece to find an ever evolving composition. Using a continuously changing palate of colors and a multitude of layers of paint and collage, the work conveys texture and weight derived from obliterating some details of the past while accentuating others. With this, the process of the piece is preserved, creating almost an archeological experience for the viewer; discovering details the deeper you look. Hard edges meet soft, spontaneous and organic drips of paint overlap with meticulously created linework. The typography of old newspaper is hidden, yet also framed, by brushstrokes making windows into the inner layers of the work. There is always something to discover. Aaron A. Young is a Queens, NY based abstract artist. Starting his ambition for painting with a Bob Ross Painting...Category

- Map of Paris, Yellow, Blue, Green & Red, Oil and ink on canvas by Shelter SerraBy Shelter SerraLocated in Brooklyn, NYMap of Paris 2014 18.5”x20.5”x.75” inches oil and ink on canvas The painting, “Map of Paris”, is based off a popular postcard of Paris. By simplifying the city into a landscape of symbols, streets, and locations, the beauty and history of Paris replaced by a set of codes, creating both mystery and confirmation. Just as the Impressionists reduced their surroundings into a series of dots, this painting attempts to reduce the experience of Paris into a postcard map. Shelter Serra’s paintings, sculptures, and drawings explore mass consumption and cultural identity. He juxtaposes subject matters that are both common and recognizable: a Campbell's Soup Can, a copper plated baseball hat, and a Hermes Birkin bag...Category
