Christo Sharpe was sitting waiting for the food to arrive and chatting with a selection of entertaining guests. He was struck by the shapes and colours that made up the group. We were sitting outside at night so the rich colours were muted but still strong. He took a selection of photographs from which several sketches emerged and a final format revealed itself.
