About the Item
This painting is an exceptional abstract work by the noted Argentine artist Delia Solari (1940-). The painting is titled Ritmico III (Rhythmic III in English); it is very well titled, as it is a very rhythmic composition. The lines are bold and there’s a great deal of energy, but the composition holds together beautifully. This wonderful energy is neither constrained nor uncontrolled. It just kind of pulsates. The pallet is also highly energized, but again, not unconstrained. Solari has an exceptional ability to create subtle gradations of change in pallet as areas go from dark to light, cool to warm in a short space, but because she is so consistent in technique across the entire canvas, there is a wonderful harmony and luminosity in this painting. The painting is in excellent condition. The black wood frame is in good condition with a few very light scuffs barely visible if one looks closely.
It would make a wonderful addition to any serious collection of abstract art, or, it would look great in any home or office. The painting is composed of acrylic on linen and measures 16” x 24” (40cm x 60cm). The framed size is 17.5” x 25.5” (45cm x 65cm). This painting is signed, titled and dated on the reverse, “Delia Solari, Ritmico III, 2007”.
