This painting was created as a collaboration between Don Bishop and Suzanne Vaughan in their outside studio in Portland, OR. These paintings capture some of the light and atmosphere of the plein air style combined with fresh bold gestural marks of the abstract expressionist movement. The result is a combination of fresh bold color embedded in thick paint application. In this series, Don and Suzanne continue exploring the expressive paint application and color combinations that will be the focus of these works.
