- Gimme ShelterBy Andrei PetrovLocated in New York, NYAndrei Petrov is an American artist of Russian origins. He is best known for his abstract oil paintings where calibrated stratifications of intense shades of colors are scraped to expose prior layers. Ever since, I have been trying to reclaim what I lost through my work”. His abstractions at times reference natural landscapes and atmospheric transparencies, like the beautiful blue, green and earth colors of this work seem to suggest. The title of this painting "Gimme Shelter...Category
