From amber skies to purple mountains the brigade of trees stand guard over the inlet. In this multi-faceted abstract expressionist marine landscape, painted with many nuances of color, and the extensive use of impasto layering to add emphasis, North Carolina artist Allison Chambers explores the human need to dream on and on, seeking joy and peace in our natural universe. Chambers' inherent goal is to present an abstracted interpretation of life using color and texture to communicate and share the beauty of our world with those who cross her path. To enhance the transitional feeling of the 30x40 composition the artist has gallery wrapped her oil painting allowing the viewing eye to roam rather than feel restricted or contained by a frame. Chambers is affiliated with the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionists Society. She offers teaching excursion to Provence, France annually., when permitted, while maintaining studios in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
