Jae Kon Park's art is characterized by vibrant colors and simplified, abstract images inspired by life, nature, the rootless quest of his own life, and an eternal fascination with the mysterious and the unknowable. Jae Kon Park graduated from Seoul National University of Fine Art in 1960 and was an artist from the post-war abstract generation. Jae Kon Park left Korea and spent 20 years living in and traveling through many different countries. His journey initially took him to Canada, Mexico, Tahiti, Tobago, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and Argentina, as he was in search as much for the meaning of life as for artistic inspiration.
