About the Item
In this original acrylic paint and vinyl on paper from Art Angler Gallery, Jose Palacios depicts an abstract pop art style. A playground of forms bursts across a cool turquoise field. In Green Play Area, surrealism meets cartoonish charm, with a bold white figure at the center — part glove, part ghost, outlined in black like a wandering emoji. A pink-red swoosh cuts a vibrant arc through the top left, while paint drips, squiggles, and faint line sketches hover like doodles caught mid-thought. To the right, red petals bloom defiantly, their stem boldly drawn. A dripping green blob with two upright stalks offers a playful nod to creatures or glitches. The whole scene feels alive, spontaneous, and strangely familiar — a visual playground where nothing quite makes sense, and that’s exactly the point.
The painting is 27.5 x 39.5 inches and comes unframed.
Jose Palacios was born in Spain in 1970. A self taught artist, he began his career in the world of comic books and illustration publications. He later transitioned to graphic design and street art. Jose was greatly influenced by the "Movida Madrileña" an explosive cultural period in the 1980's during Spain's transition from dictatorship to democracy which produced arist's such as Ceesepe, Fernando Vicente, Ana Juan, Ouka Leele and Javier de Juan.
