Sad news of the passing of this great artist, guitarist and founding member of Savoy Brown. Kim was a long-time friend who will be missed by fans and all that loved him worldwide. Considered one of the architects of British blues, Kim Simmonds was the founder and lead guitarist of the internationally known Rock and Roll and Blues band SAVOY BROWN. He started the Savoy Brown Blues Band in October 1965 and early gigs included performing with Cream and accompanying John Lee Hooker. On stage in America, the group was supported by Rod Stewart and the Faces and the group KISS opened for Savoy Brown in the early days. Sad news of the recent passing of Kim Simmonds, a great artist, guitarist, Rock and Blues Legend and founding member of Savoy Brown. Kim was a long-time friend who will be missed by fans and all that loved him and his music worldwide. Kim would always sign his paintings before he was ready to ship them. At the time of his passing Kim had paintings in his studio that were not yet signed. This is one of those paintings.
