Large-scale abstract minimalist color field painting titled, "Red Sea, Two Moons" by Canadian abstract painter Sasha Rogers (Canadian, b. 1969), 1993. A textural red sea comprises the lower two thirds of this large horizontal canvas, with the dark blue sky hinting at two loosely brushed white moons above. Rogers captures a clean, minimal industrial aesthetic in this compelling yet subdued piece.

Sasha Rogers received her Masters of Painting in 1987 and was a painting instructor for twelve years. She has been primarily focused on solo exhibits and international art fairs and is in numerous private collections in Canada, the USA and Europe. Rogers' works has been influenced by the work of William Turner, Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Antoni Tapies, and her father Otto Rogers. What collectively draws her to these great artists is their dedication to evocative metaphors rather than literal descriptions. She states, "They invite rather than prescribe."

Sasha Rogers, daughter of premier artist Otto Rogers, received her master's degree in painting in 1987 and was a painting instructor for 12 years. She has been primarily focused on solo exhibits and international art fairs and is in numerous private collections in Canada, the USA and Europe. Rogers' works have been influenced by the work of William Turner, Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Antoni Tàpies and her father, Otto Rogers.
