About the Item
Sharon Kelly’s ethereal, dream-like mixed media pieces are inspired by her love of oceans and waterways. The abstract artist uses generous brush strokes in soft colours—sky blue, yellow, peach-tones, pale green and random markings in black to create the view one has looking out towards the horizon line above the sea.
“I work with intuitive color selections, building up multiple layers creating paintings defined by subtle textures & hues.” Sharon Kelly
She was born in Montreal and studied art history at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. Sharon Kelly maintains a full-time studio by the Rideau River in Ottawa. Kelly has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions since 1999. Her works are in both private and corporate collections.
