About the painting:
With the patterns of her beloved family Tartans and childhood blanket, Shizico weaves Scottish expensive ever-changing skies into a visual dance of the surrealism and realism.
Through her art, Shizico incorporates the memory of childhood textile and Tartan motifs at the layered background seamlessly blending her signature comfident and expressive brushstrokes and gold leaf , weaving memories of the past with the vivid reality of the present.
The painting is a harmonious visual symphony where the past and present converge like a sureal abstraction, this canvas amplifies Shizico's visual musical; this painting is within her "The Weaver" series, inviting viewers into a world where memory and present interweaving in a mesmerizing display of creativity.

With design and film background, Shizico combines her interests making installation projects which relate to artist's personal life in relation to the society and human condition at large.
Shizico Yi holds a PhD in Fine Art awarded by UEL, UK 2017; she had completed a Master in Fine Art with a BA in Womenswear from UAL. London. She is also the Winner of Women Film Makers: Best Shorts Competition 2013 Los Angels. USA.
