Aron Hill
Aron Hill's practice is focused on a formalist type of painting that recalls aspects of minimalism and Color-Field paintings though with references to the figure throughout. They find conceptual company in the late modernist paintings produced particularly in Canada. The choice of primary colors and a restricted medium is a conscious restraint informed by Hill’s artistic influences such as Jack Bush and William Perehudoff. The work's graphic nature relies on the sheer flatness that this medium produces.
Hill currently lives and works in Calgary, Alberta. They graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Interdisciplinary studies. Hill then completed their MFA at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Hill has exhibited internationally, and occasionally lectures and writes.

- Taking Root II - Original Boho Minimalist ArtworkBy Peter KuttnerLocated in Los Angeles, CAThe organic aesthetic and textures of Peter Kuttner’s original boho minimalist artworks are the result of patient layering and unique uses of media. Through a combination of collage and paint, Kuttner is able to find personal expression in the clear colors and contrasting soft textures he creates. This artwork is part of Kuttner's "Cut-Out" series where the artist uses a process, not unlike that of Matisse late in his career. The economy of design and the utilitarian simplicity therein allow for the creation of simple, archetypal pieces. This one-of-a-kind mixed media painting measures 24 inches square. It is wired and ready to hang. It is signed by the artist on the back and initialed on the front. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping available. This artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery. Kuttner’s artworks have been featured in Architectural Digest Magazine as well as in popular films and television shows including Two and a Half Men, Californication, and Nashville.
