About the Item
This painting was created for Yuri's "Gold Center Series," in which he uses gold leaf to create a perfect circle in the center of the piece. In this painting, the gold circle is in the center of a swirl of vibrant colors on a backdrop of textured white. Aptly titled "Snow Colors," it's as if swatches of bold color have been smeared onto a fresh layer of snow. This painting is sure to brighten any room with it's active gestural markings and bold colors.
Yuri Figueroa was born in Colima, Mexico, in 1989. The themes in his artworks cycle around the concepts of identity, the individual, the dreams and the imaginary. He frequently creates images straight from a stream of consciousness; as well as those that purely explore with the abstraction of shapes and colors that he finds stimulating.
