Beautiful early 20th century figurative landscape of a woman carrying a basket of wood kindling by a rushing river, high in the Italian hills by Enrique Brocco (Italian, 20th Century), c.1930. With a bright red scarf on her head, a woman stands left of center with a basket of wood. Behind her is a stone structure, with a road leading past it. Beyond the road, to the right of the composition, an idyllic landscape unfolds: a river moves past a dense forest towards a dramatic mountain range in the far distance.
Signed "E. Brocco" lower right.
Displayed in a wood frame.
