A beautiful mid 20th century French naïf oil on panel depicting a family by the river, by Fernand Boilauges.
The work is very well painted in the naïf style which was prevalent at the time and influenced by painters such as Henri Rousseau.
Prestigious Arthur Tooth & Sons Ltd, London dealership label on the reverse, through whom the painting was previously sold. Signed lower right and presented in the original frame.
