"Homeless" completes a series of
works titled "Anima Damnata"
which the artist undertook in
Bucharest-2015.
The painting of this homeless
person was created after visual
studies and documentation
regarding homelessness,
and drug abuse. It focuses on the
psychological disorders and
traumas that can occur when
someone loses something
essential and very important
completely.
The artist combines the "impasto"
technique with colours of
magenta, white and ochre to
define the character's
facial features while the rest of the
composition consists of vibrant
violet and red tones that create a
disturbing and chilling
atmosphere.
