Detailed, romantic depiction of four people out for a drive in an early 1900s Winton by Phoebe Healey (American, 1919-2001). A man and three women are dressed in fine clothes, seated in the Winton. The main focus of the painting the the vehicle, as it is rendered in great detail and stands out from the background.
Signed in the lower right corner.
Titled and signed on verso.
Presented in a slat frame.

Phoebe Healey (American, 1919-2001) was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Healey moved to the San Francisco bay area in the early 1950's and eventually settled in Mill Valley, where she lived since 1959. After attending the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco, Healey spent her career as a commercial and fine artist. For many years, Phoebe starred in local theater productions, as a comedienne, with roles written for her specifically by her husband, Bernard, who was also a painter.
