A finely painted, early 20th-century oil landscape showing the Menam River in Thailand with youths on a raft in the foreground and a view beyond to a thatched dwelling and the river winding away through dense forest. Accomplished perspectival recession and delicate handling of light characterize a rare Asian work by this Australian artist who is listed in McCulloch's Encyclopedia of Australian Art.
