Maurice Lobre a-t-il connu Marcel Proust ? On ne peut encore l'affirmer, bien qu'il ait eu de nombreux amis en commun avec l'écrivain. Mais sa peinture intimiste pourrait illustrer certaines pages de Du côté de chez Swann.
