About the Item
Wave play is all about the miraculous action of the sea at the edge of earth. It is all about the excitement and motion and the play of colors as the sunlight glistens upon the ocean blues, the sandy beiges, creams and taupes and how it makes you feel! The undertow crashes into the beachfront demanding control of the powerful surf! The gritty texture of nature in this original oil painting never recedes! This marine landscape commands attention with the free feeling abstract expressionism brush strokes, impasto paint application and insistence that it remains an organic reflection of the artist's experiences. International artist Anita Lewis makes her home and studio in San Diego, California after showing her work from Buenos Aires to Las Vegas and New York City. Her work has been published in "Business News," "Luxe," and "Fine" magazines, having been interviewed on both FOX and NBC TV. Coming from a family of artists, creative expression in many forms came naturally to Lewis; she graduated from California State University Northridge with a bachelor of arts degree in art and interior architecture.
