A fine New York winter cityscape by American artist Arthur Clifton Goodwin (1864-1929). Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Goodwin lived and worked most of his life in Massachusetts and New York, best known for his street and waterfront scenes. Oil on canvas, signed lower left, artist placard on frame, with artist’s name and title inscribed on verso “Cathedral Parkway, St. John the Divine,” and housed in a beautifully carved giltwood frame with rounded corners. Dimensions: 25 in H x 30.25 in W, actual; 36.75 in H x 41.5 in W, framed. Ref:7
