Redwoods in the Snow by Bernice Huntington 1906-1998
Idyllic scene depicting a creek running through a snowy redwood forest. The trees reflect slightly in the water and add a pop of warm color to the landscape. Textured and visible brushstrokes add an impressionistic flare.
Oil paint on Masonite board. Excellent, professionally cleaned with UV protective varnish applied.

Huntington was a pupil of Bennet Bradbury. She painted in the desert around Palm Springs and along the coast of southern California. At one time she was the treasurer of the La Jolla Art Ass'n.
