Carol PylantGirona Pause - Realistic Architectural Oil Painting2023
2023
About the Item
Throughout this piece Pylant explores the concept of impossible spaces, by creating urban scenes that blend into nature, creating portals within the artwork.
The juxtaposition of urban and natural gives the artwork a surreal sense that immerses the viewer with a comforting sense of familiarity. By incorporating scenes of the present with imagery from past memories, Pylant develops a dialogue between past and future, creating a compelling and striking image that completely absorbs the viewer in its serene beauty.
Moreover, the artist often combines imagery from her travels to Italy, Spain and throughout Europe with memories of her childhood home in North Carolina. The artwork is framed in a silver wooden frame measuring 32 x 42 inches.

- La Prima Pietra-Ancient Architectural Arched Doorways Leading to Lush LandscapeBy Carol PylantLocated in Chicago, ILMeticulously rendered stone archways lead to a stone path meandering into a lush landscape in Carol Pylant's stunning architectural painting entitled "La Prima Pietra". - Sunset - Fiery Sky with Silhouetted Trees on the Horizon, Oil on Panel, FramedBy Jeff AelingLocated in Chicago, ILCirrocumulus clouds are set ablaze as the sun sets over a grove of trees in Jeff Aeling's painting simply titled "Sunset", casting the trees into almost total black. Loose brush strokes and gentle dabs of paint evoke impressionist painting while the palette sets a tranquil scene. The painting is framed in a heavy black wooden frame measuring 14.5h x 16.5h inches. - tempio di Antonino e FaustinaLocated in Milano, MIUrbex is the English acronym for urban exploration and is an activity that consists of searching for and locating abandoned infrastructure with the goal of visiting, photographing and conveying its contents, with particular involvement of methodologies from geography, anthropology, sociology to cultural studies. Her works have been in the past approached to the works of Anselm Kiefer (b. 1945) and Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1770), but in Gullotta's paintings the absence of color makes the spaces particularly ethereal, allowing them to be ideally lifted to new places and to new life. We often speak of a "brain drain," but in this case we are truly happy to be able to say that this is a "return," and an important one: an artist of international caliber who has decided to entrust her return to her homeland to Almach Art...Category
