Carol PylantLa Prima Pietra-Ancient Architectural Arched Doorways Leading to Lush Landscape2022
2022
About the Item
Meticulously rendered stone archways lead to a stone path meandering into a lush landscape in Carol Pylant's stunning architectural painting entitled "La Prima Pietra". The pristine space suggest inner solitude and peace. This calm continues through the archway and into the rich green landscape beyond the walls. The artist often combines imagery from her travels to Italy, Spain and throughout Europe with memories of elsewhere. The artwork is framed in a heavy black wooden frame with a silver inset adding to the richness of the piece. It measures 36.5 x 42.5 inches framed.

Sunset - Fiery Sky with Silhouetted Trees on the Horizon, Oil on Panel, Framed
By Jeff Aeling
Located in Chicago, IL
Cirrocumulus clouds are set ablaze as the sun sets over a grove of trees in Jeff Aeling's painting simply titled "Sunset", casting the trees into almost total black. Loose brush strokes and gentle dabs of paint evoke impressionist painting while the palette sets a tranquil scene. The painting is framed in a heavy black wooden frame measuring 14.5h x 16.5h inches.

Light Pillar - Atmospheric Optical Phenomenon, Framed Oil Painitng
By Jeff Aeling
Located in Chicago, IL
Light pillars, a captivating atmospheric optical phenomenon, have been observed during extremely cold weather conditions. These mesmerizing columns of light appear to beam directly upwards from unshielded lights, creating a spectacle that captures the imagination. While they may seem otherworldly, light pillars are actually a result of plate-shaped ice crystals suspended in the air close to the ground. Here, artist Jeff Aeling uses loose brush strokes and gentle dabs of paint evoke impressionist painting while the palette sets a tranquil scene for this singular light pillar. The painting is framed in a heavy black wooden frame burnished to reveal red undertones measuring 20.5h x 16.5h x 1.75d inches.
