“Studio Canal” by Catherine Picard-Gibbs is a textural urban scene depicting strong sunlight illuminating a factory studio building at dusk. This effect is achieved by the use of brilliant oranges and reds for the building, contrasted with the water element of the canal which is painted in cool hues of grey and blue. This dynamic 12 x 9 x 1.5 inch oil on board painting is framed in a chocolate brown, 13. 375 x 10. 375 x 2.25 inch floater frame.
