About the Item
This painting depicts an impressionistic Plein Air scene of a couple under an umbrella by the Eiffel Tower in the rain. The thick brush strokes and fun marks creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the Ashcan School. There are figures situated in the distance as the red umbrella evokes a moody emotion. We can feel the moment in time effortlessly. Signed verso and comes displayed in an antique style gold frame.

Having built a diverse body of work since her early career ranging from portraits to abstract paintings of the universe, today Cindy's works exhibit a more impressionistic technique. She is mostly known for her consistent impressionistic street scenes which resemble the Ashcan school, depicting old cars on the road during the early 20th Century. Her whimsicality is precious, leaving much room for nostalgia in her works. For more than a decade her works have been a exhibited, and apart of corporate and private collections.
PROVENANCE: Lilac Gallery Collection. Signed verso. This original artwork includes a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the artist studio. The piece will be stamped from Lilac Gallery on its verso.
